Sports stars set their aim at Olympic glory

Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps and Zara Tindall make up the list of the athletes who are focused on shining in Rio. Athletes around the world are focused on confirming their places in Rio, or if they have already done so, ensuring they arrive in top shape. The Jamaican Usain Bolt will land in Brazil going for an unprecedented ‘triple-triple’ at his last Olympic Games, by defending the 100m, 200m and 4x100m titles he won at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Games. “I am in good nick, training hard, my time trials are going well, my coach is happy, so everything is going well” he said in an interview with the Jamaican newspaper The Gleaner. “It’s one of the big years, now that it’s (career) finishing. It’s really a big deal, so I am just trying to refocus and get my mind right and go out there and execute. And to win is always the plan”. So, with some luck, we will see Bolt repeating his typical steps in the Olympic Stadium of Río. Next to him, in the pantheon of the stars, will be the American swimmer Michael Phelps who will return to the swimming pool in Rio and the British equestrian Zara Tindall, granddaughter of the Queen, who said “The Olympics is the place to be, with the rest of the world’s sport.”
